Nursing Team

We have an exceptional Primary Care Team. The Practice employs two Practice Nurses. They are responsible for running the Health promotion clinics, which includes New patient checks, Holiday vaccinations, Travel advice, Cervical cytology, Well woman and Well man checks, Lifestyle, Diet and Exercise advice, Flu/Pneumococcal Vaccination and childhood vaccinations. Chronic Disease Management is also a nurse led service including Asthma/COPD, Diabetes and Coronary Heart Disease and Hypertension management, where the Practice expects to see patients suffering from these diseases every six months to one year.

Practice Management

The Practice Manager is responsible for ensuring the Practice complies with all aspects of health and safety requirements; implementing policies and procedures; liaising with outside agencies to keep abreast of any development within the NHS that might affect the practice or the Doctors. Overseeing the operation of the practice based complaints procedure in conjunction with the senior partner.

Reception/Administration

Our receptionists are your first point of contact. They have the difficult job of trying to keep both Doctors and patients happy and play an important role in the day to day running of the Practice. All staff are trained to deal with most everyday queries and are encouraged to develop their skills to keep in line with the ever increasing changes to the NHS. If you are asked some apparently irritating questions, it is only because of our policy to ascertain the urgency of particular problems and requests. A Doctors reception is a very busy and sometimes difficult environment in which to work. The receptionists employed by the practice are here to help you and we would be grateful if patients could respect the staff at all times. The receptionists are also responsible for all the day to day administration work as well as assisting patients. The receptionist will assist patients with arranging appointments, taking requests for home visits, ordering repeat prescriptions and organising hospital transport.
