As we approach the busier autumn and winter months, there’s lots happening here at Pennine Surgery.

From the start of our seasonal vaccination programme to fundraising events and important vaccination opportunities for young people, we wanted to share a few updates and let you know what’s coming up at the surgery.

Flu & COVID-19 Vaccinations 

Our autumn/winter Flu and COVID-19 vaccination programme begins on 1st October 2026.

If you are eligible, we strongly encourage you to take up the offer of vaccination to help protect yourself during the winter months.

Housebound Patients 

If you are registered with us as housebound, you do not need to attend the surgery for your vaccination.

We will shortly begin arranging home visits for our housebound patients. Please bear with us while these are organised, we will be in touch.

Macmillan Coffee Morning - Saturday 17th October 

We’re delighted to be supporting Macmillan Cancer Support again this year!

Saturday 17th October 2026, 9am - 2pm at Littleborough Health Centre

Wear it Pink - Friday 23rd October 

On Friday 23rd October, the Pennine Surgery team will be taking part in Wear It Pink in support of breast cancer research.

Expect to see the team swapping our usual colours for plenty of pink! 

We’ll be helping to raise awareness, fundraise and show our support for everyone affected by breast cancer.

MenB Vaccinations for Yound People

Eligible young people can now receive the MenB (Meningococcal B) vaccination at participating community pharmacies.

The MenB vaccine helps protect against meningococcal group B bacteria, which can cause serious illnesses including meningitis and sepsis.

If you or a young person in your family may be eligible, please check the latest NHS guidance for eligibility and information on how to access the vaccination.
